Video Tutorial Monday #8 - Working with Clear Cards

Before I show you today's card, I want to share so very, very exciting news! Jill Foster, the Inspired by... blogger, (and one of my very favorite stampers) is featuring ME on her blog this week. I can't even tell you how humbled and overjoyed I am that she's using my cards as her inspiration. I'm SO excited to see what she comes up with. Go check out her blog here, and I'll have a post at the end of the week that puts all of the links to her fab cards in one place. (Here's what she did for day one.)

Okay, now onto the card! I've received a lot of questions about using clear cards like these ones from Hero Arts, so I decided to make a video that shows you how I go about them. Once you get the hang of thinking about the layers, you'll be making a ton in no time!
Close-up of the coloring on the flower. I'll do another tutorial sometime soon about how I color with copics, but I didn't want the video to be too long this week. :)
Here's the inside. I really wanted to make this a "complete" card, so adding the sentiment to the inside helped to create a finished product.
Here's the card and what it looks like when it's closed. Love the layers :)
Okay, now here's the video. You can watch it over on youtube here, and make sure to subscribe to my channel while you're over there. :)

Supplies: Cardstock- Papertrey Ink (Berry Sorbet, Vintage Cream, and Sweet Blush), Clear Card- Hero Arts, Stamps- Papertrey Ink (Year of Flowers: Roses) and Hero Arts (CL380 Truly Appreciated), Ink- Tsukineko (Memento Black) and Papertrey Ink (Berry Sorbet), Markers- Copic (R20, R22, R35, YG17, YG25, YG67), Corner Rounder- WRMK, Circle Cutter- Making Memories, Circle Dies- Spellbinders (Large Circle Nestabilities).

It's time for me to dash off to class (running late again... oy! No surprise there...), but I'll be back tomorrow with a new scrapbook layout that I can not wait to share. Maybe a card, too, if you're lucky. Hehe. So in the meantime, check out Jill's blog for more inspiration. Can't wait to see what she creates!

Love.
Brit

Absolutely gorgeous colors on this rose! It's perfect, I like how you put the smaller rose bud on the inside!

Your coloring is so perfect! You made the rose and leaves look real. I hope you'll show how you did it sometime? :)
