One more thing...

I needed one more thing to extend my coveted procrastinating homework time. I essentially have about twenty hours of work to put in on design projects in the next couple days, so I really should get started. In a while, the boyfriend is coming over and maybe I'll be more focused to get work done when he's deep into the world of mechanical engineering (blah).

Regardless of why I'm writing, I have a few cute things to share with you:

1. Card for one of my boyfriend's roommates- seriously one of the nicest people I've ever met. He was so excited to receive it yesterday! Happy birthday, buddy. :)

Supplies: pp- My Mind's Eye, cs- The Paper Studio (white) and unknown (green), ribbon- Offray, "happy birthday" stamp- Studio G, black marker- ZIG, green ink- Tsukineko (StazOn)

2. I felt like scrapping some of the pictures I got in the mail the other day. Here's one that shows my mess packing back at home, packing it all into the van, and then the drive into Minneapolis. I love this paper so much! <3 style="text-align: center;">I added a little "pop" with some pop dots.I loooove writing like this. I wish my handwriting looked this neat when I wasn't trying so hard!

Supplies: pp- American Crafts, cs- Bazzill, arrows- Grungeboard by Tim Holtz, letter stickers- American Crafts, black pen- American Crafts, black ink- Tsukineko (StazOn), rub-on letters- Miss Elizabeth's, black paint pen (on backside of transparent brackets)- ZIG, brackets- Making Memories, pop dots- EK Success

That's all in the scrapbooking world for now, but I have another little thing to share. How cute is this sweatshirt?

Their new CD comes out on Tuesday... I'm excited.

Okay, time to go eat and get started on some not-so-fun stuff.

Peace.

Inspired...

I'm going through one of those crazy times right now where I'm inspired by everything. I love it, but my brain works so fast and complicatedly. {I kind of miss simple.} It could be all of the caffeine that I've had to today to wake me up, though. Ha.

Here are some things I've been meaning to write. Warning: this will probably long. You'll like it, though. :)

1. I saw a band called We the Living on Friday. They were impressive, and it's so cool that bands come to visit campus. Love it. Check them out:

wetheliving.com

(cell phone picture, because I didn't have my camera with me)

1a. I (and every guy in the U's chapter of Beta Theta Pi) have a current obsession with Rock Band 2. We play it wayyy too often. I love those guys... and how they sing.

2. Of course, I actually did have my camera with me for lecture today. Why? I'm not sure, but it did come in handy. Want to see what I'm learning?
Yay for nitrogen and soil systems. My teacher is obsessed with concept maps. Ha.

2a. I also had my camera with me the other day to capture the beautiful (almost) fall day...

3. Card for the boyfriend. I like making him cute cards every month to celebrate monthly anniversaries. I always looks for excuses to make days special... and to make cards.

Supplies: circle punch- EK Success, Black Ink- StazOn, rubon letters- Doodlebug, Transparency- Hambly, orange cs- DCWV.

4. Scrapfest Projects- Make and Takes... wonderful! I wish I had more time to do more, but here are pictures of the few I got to do:

(American Crafts... Love this!)
(EK Success... I need to get those scalloped circle punches!)
(Hambly Studios... my new love.)

5. My Hambly Class- this is just a picture of the cover, because I still need to add pictures. I'll be sure to share the finished product when I'm actually done, though.

Also, there was so much extra product. I'll be using Hambly products for a while on everything... and I'm okay with that. :)

6. The free paper pack. It looks cute, but I haven't had time to play yet.

7. My favorite music... I downloaded some new stuff a few days ago and have been falling in love with it constantly over the past 48 hours. New album loves:
Dashboard Confessional - The Shade of Poison Trees
Jack's Mannequin - Everything in Transit
Paramore - Riot!
Motion City Soundtrack - Commit this to Memory
Quietdrive - When All That's Left is You

Next time, I'll have a couple color design projects to share with you and maybe a completed Hambly book? We'll see. I should probably get off to class. I miss being in the scrapping world, but I'll be back soon.

Love.

A quick share...

This week is going wonderfully. I found a library that not only is super quiet to get my work done but is absolutely gorgeous as well. Sometime, I'll take pictures to show you. I love it there. I finally got my art supplies for my Color in Design class, and I'm almost done with my first project... I just need to find a pencil sharpener. I packed SO much stuff- how did I forget my pencil sharpener?

Anyways, miss Jingle sent me a sweet little RAK the other day, and I love it! Thank you very much. Here's a picture (please ignore the pen...):

Secondly, I actually finished a layout the other day. Psht, homework- what does that mean? I'm going to try to do one a week. It's easy to forget how theraputic scrapbooking is for me...

Supplies: white pen- Sakura, cs- Archiver's, pp- I have no idea (anyone know?), clip- Making Memories, chipboard- Heidi Swapp, black and white paint markers- ZIG by EK Success, letter stickers- Making Memories, black ink- Stazon, lace paper (used for a template for coloring in with white for a shabby look)- KI Memories

Let me know what you think! I think My favorite part is the backgroud behind the title. It turned out completely differently from I planned, but it looks really cool.

Alright, mental break over- I have to get working on some homework and get to class. Soon, I'll have a couple of cards to show you- lots of friend's birthdays and other stuff like that are coming up. Holla if you like the page!

College life is...

complete insanity, excitement, and randomness.

I thrive here.

Upcoming awesomeness this week:
- I finnnnally get my art supplies for my color in design class.
- Gopher football on Saturday; I have season tickets. It's going to be a great game. [Did you see how they dominated Bowling Green this last Saturday? We're looking good this season.]
- My first college test- biology- wish me luck! I'm keeping up on the reading, so I'm pretty proud of myself.
- SCRAPFEST at the Mall of America is this weekend. I'm going with my friend, Laura, and it promises to be a wonderful time.

There are going to be a lot of pictures to share later this week. Exciting.

I woke up this morning with a monumental headache, but it's finally gone. I don't have class until 3:30, so I'm going to go get some scrappy stuff and school stuff done. Before I leave, however, I feel like it's necessary to share the obligatory city skyline picture of the place I'm falling so in love with.

I have this really awesome nighttime one, but that's for sharing later. :)

Have a wonderful day.

Manic in Minneapolis...

It may be implied that this last week has been crazy. College is so surreal most of the time that it's hard to even explain. Of course, I lost my camera as soom as I got here to move in, but it's on its way back to me as I type. Here are some cell phone pictures of our College Day activity for the College of Design- we got to go downtown to the Historic Bridge and the surrounding areas. It's absolutely gorgeous there! My favorites were The Guthrie Theater (the views and art there are AMAZING) and the Mill City Museum (possibly the coolest place I've ever been). If you're ever, ever in the Twin Cities Area, you must travel to those attractions. Here are a few cell pictures...

{Mill City Museum}

{The Guthrie Theater}

{Historic Bridge}

{Mariucci Arena}
We went here for Convocation and a guest speaker. I'm going to spending a lot of time in this great hockey arena this year. :)
{The Metrodome}
Our season opener was a huge success, not to mention a really great time. I love attending a Big 10 school! With our first win, we tied our number of wins from last year. We're on a roll! I bought season tickets...
So those are just some of the recent festivities. I'm having the time of my life...

And don't worry, I'm scheduling time to scrapbook on Friday. Woohoo!

Peace.
