Oh, Creativity...

I love being inspired and constantly feel like creating. I love it when I'm in these inspired moods. :)

Quick share- I made a card from this sketch (Friday Sketch #54) by Amy Rysavy:
And my take (started at two in the morning because I didn't feel like sleeping. ha):
Supplies: cardstock- Archiver's (white), unknown (blue), patterned paper- Sei, Transparency- Hambly, Acrylic butterfly- Heidi Swapp, Embroidery Thread- DMC

And here's another layout I finished the other day. Well actually, I'm not sure if it's finished yet. I really want to find a way to add more blue so the title doesn't pop so much off the page. We'll see. Anyways, here it is:

Supplies: cs- Bazzill Bling, pp- American Crafts, letter stickers- Making Memories (small), Thickers by American Crafts (title), Embroidery thread- DMC

Journaling reads: "There is nothing like being home for a holiday."

Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful day! I'm off to go clean and start packing, but really I'm wishing I could be scrapping just a little more. :)

Love.

I feel like talking really fast...

After watching 12 episodes of Gilmore Girls (the last season, most of which I have not seen yet) with my mom over the past two days, I find my mind constantly moving at a quick pace and myself making random quips at sonic speed. It's great. :) Oh, Gilmore Girls.

I've been sewing up a storm here- I felt like every layout just needed that finishing touch. Here's the first one that I finished just yesterday:
Isn't it cute? I'm obsessed with distressing edges this week :)

Supplies: Patterned Paper- American Crafts, Cardstock- American Crafts (purple) and The paper Studio (black and white), Ink- Stazon by Tsukineko, Letter Stickers- Making Memories (small) and American Crafts (Chit Chat White Thickers), Floss- DMC, Acrylic Butterfly- Heidi Swapp

And here's Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #46 for this week:
Inspiration:
And my take:
How's that for different? Ha. I only used three supplies: Cardstock- The Paper Studio, Letter Stickers- Making Memories, and Embroidery Thread- DMC. I like this for a change of pace from my usual cardstock + patterned paper deal. What do you think?

Oh, and one more thing:
My obsession with paper flower instruction continues. Check out this tutorial by Suzanne Woolcott. It's so informative- I've got to try this.

Oooh and this dress is really cute:

Thanks for stopping by today! It's back to college for me in a couple days, but with all of these creative juices flowing, I'm hoping I'll stil have plenty to share with you in the upcoming weeks.

Love.

Spring Break Happiness and Flowers

Hey there! It's a very happy week here in Wisconsin. I've never been so happy to be home. It's all smiles around here. :) I thought I'd pop in and say hi and share a few inspiring things:

1. Flowers. I've been getting progressively more obsessed with fake flowers of all types. Here are a few inspiring tutorials and images to inspire you as well:

a. A tutorial on the Cosmo Cricket Blog about making Fabric Flowers that were used in this project by Natasja Verbeek
b. Aren't these flowers gorgeous? Here's the tutorial. I need to try this!

c. One of my projects at the top of my to-do list is to make a headband inspired by missrubysue on Etsy. Isn't this gorgeous?
2. This is a card I made a week ago in attempts to get ahead for the next few weeks that so many of my friends have birthdays during. The card is super simple- I'm actually thinking about adding something more to it, but we'll see.

Supplies: cardstock- The Paper Studio (kraft and white) and Bazzill (green), patterned paper- Basic Grey, ink- Tsukineko, marker- American Crafts, stamp- Studio G

3. This cute owl sweater. I saw this on Elsie Flannigan's blog today and can't get enough. I need this sweater :)

4. This is what I've been up to in preparation for a "personal crop day" that I'm having tomorrow. I'm going to archivers and cranking out layouts. I'm excited. :)

Lotttts of sketches. I <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3BMAthBFsQbR5HsDERlaBu9mQYXLFqkgEUpFg8qwon09GprlAjDS6jZV_qBPV_nHhAsFLmbqS8hr_FW5u9biTuPGELeQPT_50Wlk0hzcg58PoAd8qsqPyzViMgV9sov-Q3K8AcF1HRlCH/s1600-h/03-16-09+Blue+Eyes.jpg">6. Me + B.J. Novak + friends = <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO9CLBF8YlybXFU8lRPKSGmcwa4-oYvtHmTCVutLhyvXOm-39kCUzrlLMVPOJDvHToSQ0eTE5xBqVwVP1vXIP75uzaXYQvqNMd1mKYQYZ3v7hsVRJnPUTM9mmhdbRpPyufr_unlg991XS0/s1600-h/03-16-09+BJ+Novak">From left to right: (top) Sara, Patrice, Me, B.J., (bottom) Greg, Adam (Sara's twin who was visiting for the weekend from his college). Missing from the picture- Jeb (who was spending time with another one of our friends at the time) and Greg's twin, Joe. Why am I friends with a whole bunch of red-headed twins? Good question. I need to make a layout about that. Here's a picture of Greg and Joe just because I love their twin-ness so much:

Hehe. Cute.

So that's all I have for now, but I'll be back soon to share all of the things I do tomorrow. I'm loving having so much time to relax during this wonderful spring break. :)

Love.

What up yo?

That's a regular greeting amongst my group of friends, and I like it.

Today is a strange day- I actually have some time to sit and think. I like that. I thought I'd pop on to share a few things with you today.

1. I absolutely am in love with this patterned paper from Scenic Route. It's one of their older collections, but I've been eyeing it up for so long. It felt great to finally use it. The card is super simple and utilizes some chipboard I had lying around. I'm not to crazy about the circle I put on with the glitter heart on it, but I couldn't figure out what else to do. Oh well, I had fun making it. The card that I made the other day for my boyfriend:

Supplies: cardstock- Bazzill, patterned paper- Scenic Route, Ink- Tsukineko (VersaMagic in Dark Sky), chipboard- Basic Grey (star), Heidi Swapp ("3"), K & Company ("love"), Making Memories (circle), stickles (on "3")- Ranger, other- glitter and glue (heart)

2. I'm so pumped about this, that I keep marking it "unread" in my google reader so I can see it every day. Let me chart out this awesomeness for you:
October Afternoon (LOVE) + Their new Cherry Hill Line (LOVE) + 8 by 8 paper pad (OMG LOVE) =
As soon as I find this in a store, online, on the moon, whereever, I'm going to buy it. <3

3. This call Check it out. I think this would be a fun thing to do. Plus, that means writing articles on new products. I would love doing that.

4. Jingle's having a giveaway. I really don't need any more scrapbooking things to fit into this little room that I live in, but maybe you'd like to check it out. Good luck!

That's all for now, but maybe I'll have a little time to scrapbook one of these days. Wouldn't that be great?

Love.

Wow.

Time flies. I didn't even post for the entire month of February, but I made a ton of cards and have been insanely busy with my new classes. Everything's going alright, though. A couple things:

You can follow me on twitter now... over to the right-hand side of my blog main page or using this link. Cute.

Here are just a couple of the cards I did last month (I think I made about 20, but I can't really remember- no time to edit all the pictures!):

Birthday card for my roommate next year, Alex:
Supplies: pp- DCWV, cs- Bazzill, Letter Stickers- Making Memories, Rubon- Hambly, other- silver ink and pink eyelets

One of my favorite Valentine's day cards:
supplies: cs- The Paper Studio (kraft) and Archiver's (red), pp- Sassafrass Lass, thread- DMC, Chipboard letters- Pressed Petals, other- Puffy Paint

Valentine's day was like this:

Pretty shades of pink and red in roses and my dress. {The guy wasn't bad either. ;-) Thanks, Greg, for making my Valentine's Day amazing!}

That reminds me, I really need to go make a card for him in the next few minutes. Yay for three months of "official"-ness and happiness.

Two more things really quickly--- I get to see two very special people next weekend, and I couldn't be more thrilled:

1.
The man who always has been and always will be my best friend. Jeb is coming to visit me from Madison.... finally! I'm so excited! Together (along with my boyfriend, his twin, and my friends Sara and Patrice), we are going to see person:

2. Oh. em. gee. It's BJ Novak: a.k.a. Ryan from The Office, a.k.a. one of the writers of The Office, a.k.a. one of the executive producers of The Office. He's coming here to our student union to do standup and but be his awesome self. I get to see him! OMG. This weekend is going to be awwwwesome.

Alright, I'll stop geeking out now and get to what really needs to be done: a card, cleaning, and endless mountains of homework. I hope to be back soon.

Love.
