Studio Calico and Papertrey Ink Love.

Hi all! Thanks for your well-wishes yesterday. I'm pretty sure I was just very dehydrated, because after drinking many bottles of water last night, I woke up pretty much fine this morning. The miracle of water. Ha. I got a chance to play with some new stamps, so I hope to type up a post tonight sharing some new pretty things :) I wanted to share this first, though, using some Studio Calico paper (from their On the Easel September kit) and a few stamps that were itching to be inked up, the stars border (in the store here) and the fabulous Addy alphabet (in the store here). So I made this adorable card to give away to someone who studied really hard for a test or had a rough school week. Since it's a third of the way through the fall term this week, the "midterm crazies" (my phrase) are going around. Tests, papers, and general stress for everyone. I think all of my friends might need a card and a stiff drink at the end of the week. Haha.
To line up the letters, I simply drew a line with a ruler in pencil across the card and lined the bases of the letters up with the line. Erase and viola! Perfectly straight words :)
Supplies: Cardstock- Papertrey Ink (Hawaiian Shores and Kraft), Patterned Paper- Studio Calico (September 2010 Main Kit), Stamps- Studio Calico (Addy Alpha and Stars Border), Corner Rounder- WRMK, Ink- Ranger (Distress ink in Tumbled Glass) and Tsukineko (Memento Black and Versamark), Embossing Powder- Ranger.

By the way, have you been keeping up with this month's Papertrey Ink's release countdown? Here are a few of my very favorite things that must be coming home to me very soon as previewed by Nichole Heady (make sure you go check out her blog to see all of the fabulous projects she and the design team have come up with for this release. They're amazing!).
The new Blueberry Sky color. Can't wait to see it in real life!
Fillable Frames #9 set and die. The die cuts the whole, too. Awesome. :)
This die set is simply a must-have. If you need explanation, let me know, and I'll write you a novel on reasons why my life will be so much more amazing with these dies in it.
Year in Flowers: Marigold is a winner for sure. So beautiful!
Tiny Treats: Holidays. I've been able to resist the Tiny Treats line so far this year, but the buck stops here. Everything in this set is adorable, versatile, and plain perfect. Yum!
The Victorian Lace border die. I love how this isn't like anything out there. I'm probably going to put it on every project from now until I die. Just warning you.

What are you liking from PTI this month? I'm really excited for this release and will be glad to catch up on ordering some odds and ends that I'm running out of. I think I'll do a haul video when my PTI order comes. I can't resist. :)

See you later for some more cute fun. The new Lawn Fawn stamps are so amazing! Ahhh.

Love.
Brit

I've never used either one of these companies products. But I have had my eye on PTI for a while. That blueberry shade is gorgeous!

Love your card today, Brit!
