Last week was insanity- one test, four papers, and three graphic design projects. I thought that I was going to go crazy, but somehow I made it through. Hopefully I never have a week that bad again. A major thanks goes out to my friends who calmed me down when I was freaking out and gave me something to laugh about. I (heart) Chino Latino's on Friday night- so contemporary (and loud... but that's okay). Here are a few pictures:(gorgeous, contemporary lighting)(the exterior of the building... the sign is just a little thing outside the door, but the front is covered with metallic coins and the inside is filled with hundreds of people)(One of our favorites... a corn-bean salsa)(Yummy fish tacos)(Loved the menus... so vintage-y)
On Saturday, we went to 8th Street Grill for dinner. It was a smaller, pub-like restaurant. On the way there, I saw this view. Gorgeous.
I love this city...
Last week, Stacy Julian hosted a challenge to "Give Yourself a Present" and make a mini book of pictures from October first (or about that time) that you could keep in your purse to reflect back on this time. A year from now, we'll all make pages about our experience and compare how things have changed. I thought this was a cool idea- so here's my attempt. Lucky me- it was a gorgeous day out. I took pictures of my surroundings and favorite things. I also included pictures of things I was thinking about, like my cat back at home.
(This is how the hidden pictures look when out of their pockets.)Supplies: pp- American Crafts, cs- American Crafts (orange, reverse of pp is pink) and The Paper Studio (white), transparencies- Hambly, Transparent Shapes- Heidi Swapp, rub-ons- Hambly, Letter stickers- Making Memories (small black), The Paper Studio (big black), ink- Tsukineko (StazOn), Black marker- ZIG, mini book- Making Memories
Cute, simple, and matchy-matchy. I think I'm in love with it.
Are you doing the mini album challenge?
It's really easy and fun, I promise.
Adios for now,
Brit
