One more thing...

I needed one more thing to extend my coveted procrastinating homework time. I essentially have about twenty hours of work to put in on design projects in the next couple days, so I really should get started. In a while, the boyfriend is coming over and maybe I'll be more focused to get work done when he's deep into the world of mechanical engineering (blah).

Regardless of why I'm writing, I have a few cute things to share with you:

1. Card for one of my boyfriend's roommates- seriously one of the nicest people I've ever met. He was so excited to receive it yesterday! Happy birthday, buddy. :)

Supplies: pp- My Mind's Eye, cs- The Paper Studio (white) and unknown (green), ribbon- Offray, "happy birthday" stamp- Studio G, black marker- ZIG, green ink- Tsukineko (StazOn)

2. I felt like scrapping some of the pictures I got in the mail the other day. Here's one that shows my mess packing back at home, packing it all into the van, and then the drive into Minneapolis. I love this paper so much! <3 style="text-align: center;">I added a little "pop" with some pop dots.I loooove writing like this. I wish my handwriting looked this neat when I wasn't trying so hard!

Supplies: pp- American Crafts, cs- Bazzill, arrows- Grungeboard by Tim Holtz, letter stickers- American Crafts, black pen- American Crafts, black ink- Tsukineko (StazOn), rub-on letters- Miss Elizabeth's, black paint pen (on backside of transparent brackets)- ZIG, brackets- Making Memories, pop dots- EK Success

That's all in the scrapbooking world for now, but I have another little thing to share. How cute is this sweatshirt?

Their new CD comes out on Tuesday... I'm excited.

Okay, time to go eat and get started on some not-so-fun stuff.

Peace.

Inspired...

I'm going through one of those crazy times right now where I'm inspired by everything. I love it, but my brain works so fast and complicatedly. {I kind of miss simple.} It could be all of the caffeine that I've had to today to wake me up, though. Ha.

Here are some things I've been meaning to write. Warning: this will probably long. You'll like it, though. :)

1. I saw a band called We the Living on Friday. They were impressive, and it's so cool that bands come to visit campus. Love it. Check them out:

wetheliving.com

(cell phone picture, because I didn't have my camera with me)

1a. I (and every guy in the U's chapter of Beta Theta Pi) have a current obsession with Rock Band 2. We play it wayyy too often. I love those guys... and how they sing.

2. Of course, I actually did have my camera with me for lecture today. Why? I'm not sure, but it did come in handy. Want to see what I'm learning?
Yay for nitrogen and soil systems. My teacher is obsessed with concept maps. Ha.

2a. I also had my camera with me the other day to capture the beautiful (almost) fall day...

3. Card for the boyfriend. I like making him cute cards every month to celebrate monthly anniversaries. I always looks for excuses to make days special... and to make cards.

Supplies: circle punch- EK Success, Black Ink- StazOn, rubon letters- Doodlebug, Transparency- Hambly, orange cs- DCWV.

4. Scrapfest Projects- Make and Takes... wonderful! I wish I had more time to do more, but here are pictures of the few I got to do:

(American Crafts... Love this!)
(EK Success... I need to get those scalloped circle punches!)
(Hambly Studios... my new love.)

5. My Hambly Class- this is just a picture of the cover, because I still need to add pictures. I'll be sure to share the finished product when I'm actually done, though.

Also, there was so much extra product. I'll be using Hambly products for a while on everything... and I'm okay with that. :)

6. The free paper pack. It looks cute, but I haven't had time to play yet.

7. My favorite music... I downloaded some new stuff a few days ago and have been falling in love with it constantly over the past 48 hours. New album loves:
Dashboard Confessional - The Shade of Poison Trees
Jack's Mannequin - Everything in Transit
Paramore - Riot!
Motion City Soundtrack - Commit this to Memory
Quietdrive - When All That's Left is You

Next time, I'll have a couple color design projects to share with you and maybe a completed Hambly book? We'll see. I should probably get off to class. I miss being in the scrapping world, but I'll be back soon.

Love.

Concerts and New Things

Well, it's about time. Time for a massive update... enjoy all of the scrappy goodness! There's more coming soon, too.

Summerfest was phenomenal. I renewed my love for a few favorite bands (Red, Skillet), and fell for a couple of others (12 Stones, Coheed and Cambria). Nothing beats a live concert. I knew there was a reason I bought that Rockstar DCWV Stack. Some favorite pictures:
This was right after we arrived... we only got lost, like, three times on the way there. No biggie. Ha! These were our "I can't believe we made it" faces. Gosh, I love these guys.Zippo lighters. I don't smoke, but the pyro in me came out and I bought one. They're just so cool! The Skillet concert was awesome. Note the guy standing on the amp playing violin? Yeah, they're awesome. The second day was a little scary weather-wise. You better believe it poured buckets on us moments after this picture was taken.

There's been a lot going on around here with lots of college-prep talk and lots of work, but I've managed to get a couple (okay, a lot of) things done.

1. COCOA challenge for last week. My formal graduation layout :-)

Supplies: American Crafts Stickers, DCVW and Anna Griffin pp, unknown cs, 7 gypsies label stamp, Zig black pen and marker, Stickles, Heidi Swapp chipboard, KI Memories Lace cardstock, Tsukineko silver ink

2. My best friend's graduation present mini album. I love how simple and bright it turned out. I think he'll like it. :-)

Supplies: Cardstock- Archiver's (red), The Paper Studio (white and black), Vellum- The Paper Studio, Silver ink- Tsukineko, Patterned paper- DCWV, Black Marker- American Crafts, Star ghost shapes- Heidi Swapp, Letter stickers- Stickabilities, Chipboard letters- Basic Grey and Heidi Swapp, Letter Rubons- American Crafts and Autumn Leaves, White Pen- Sakura, File tab- Heidi Swapp, Ribbon- Offray, Fiber- EK Success, stickles, Diamond Glaze- Judikins, Acrylic- Hobby Lobby

3. Here's a card that I made. I really wanted to color in a stamped image with colored pencils, so I made this. Plus, it's my first submission to a Use Your Stash contest. (http://useyourstash.blogspot.com/2008/07/july-challenge.html) The challenge was to use stamps.

Supplies: Flower stamp- Inque Boutique, pp- Die Cuts with a View, Colored pencils- Crayola, Thread- DMC, Vellum- The Paper Studio, Cardstock- The Paper Studio, Other- buttons, ribbon (from Angie! See below...)

4. A few weeks ago, I won the COCOA weekly challenge, and Angie sent me this prize- I love absolutely everything! It totally made my day a couple days ago.

5. A layout about my recent orientation. I really like it, even if it is incredibly girly. Something about it must've appealed to my boyfriend, though, because he seemed to like it a lot more than the usual layout. Hehe.

Supplies: pp- Die Cuts with a View ( stars and flowers), Anna Griffin (pink damask), bling- The Paper Studio, cs- The Paper Studio, Letter stickers- Stickabilities

By the way, this finally showed up on my doorstep last Monday, and I am in loooooove with it. It's my baby.

Okay, so now I'm off to go shopping for some scrappy goodness for the Page-A-Week Contest at CK. I'm the host this Sunday, so I hope to see you there. All you have to do is post a layout to the thread that I make on Sunday with a layout you've completed this week. Then, you get entered in the drawing for whatever prizes I buy today. Sounds like a great deal to me! Today, I'm also going to stop by Target and pick up sheets for college ($10 for a twin extra-long set? That's awesome) and a dress for tonight. It's the six-month anniversay with the bf, and we're going out on nice date. I'm so excited! A layout is to come of that, I'm sure.

Thanks for stopping by... leave some love! I'll be back in a couple days to talk about my new camera (<3) and a few other projects.
